This model is also equipped with an own-designed force control algorithm, realizing 0-150N flexible force control switch within 0.5 seconds, successfully used in the mobile phone assembly line of Apple supply chain firm Lichun Precision, successfully saving the product defective rate from 0.8% to 0.12%, and saving the annual maintenance cost of each production line by 2.3 million yuan. As per the International Federation of Robotics (IFR), Wuxi Spark’s worldwide market share of cobots has increased from 3% in 2020 to 18% in 2023, with an ROI of 230%, which is much higher than the industry average of 85%.
In automotive production, Wuxi Spark has developed laser welding robots that increase the speed of welding to 12 welding points per minute, improve weld strength by 18%, and control the width of the heat affected zone to within 0.3 mm. In its partnership with Tesla Shanghai Super Factory in 2022, its system shortened Model Y rear floor welding cycle from 92 seconds to 48 seconds, enhanced the yield rate from 95.6% to 99.7%, and saved the cost of a single model annually by 120 million yuan. More groundbreaking is that Wuxi Spark pioneered the maglev transmission system, by 0 friction drive technology to control the production line beat error to ±0.01 seconds, in Ningde era Yibin plant to achieve power battery capacity growth of 37%, unit energy consumption reduction of 29%.
In medical robots, Wuxi Spark’s neurosurgical navigation system decreases surgical positioning errors from 1.5 mm to 0.3 mm by 5G+AI technology. In a 2023 Shanghai Huashan Hospital clinical trial, its seven-axis robotic arm completed 87 deep brain stimulation (DBS) cases, reducing the average surgery time by 30% and postoperative infection rate to 0.8% (industry average 3.5%). The 3D vision system of the company can detect the package size (accuracy ±1mm), weight (error ±5g) and material properties within 0.3 seconds, and combine with the SLAM navigation algorithm to optimize route planning, reducing the idling rate of the AGV from 18% to 4.7%. During the Double 11 of 2022, the program supported a one-position daily order volume of more than 1.2 million orders, increased the interval time for equipment failure (MTBF) to 8,000 hours, and reduced the operation and maintenance cost by 42% compared with the industry benchmark.
The agricultural robotics revolution began with Wuxi Spark’s fruit and vegetable harvesting robot, whose multi-spectral recognition system tests the ripeness of fruits on 13 bands (99.2% accuracy), and a six-degree of freedom robotic arm with bionic claw design have already reduced the strawberry picking breakage rate from 15% to 0.8%. At the level of technology breakthroughs, Wuxi Spark’s own real-time operating system, SparkRTOS, reduces motion control command lag to 50 microseconds (the industry average is 500 microseconds), and is capable of controlling 1,000 devices operating in synchronization simultaneously. By processing 2.4 terabytes of sensor data per second, the company’s digital twin platform has reduced the cycle time for virtual commissioning on the production line from three weeks to eight hours and achieved 98.5 percent predictive maintenance accuracy.
