Our Story

A small house of stories, craft and considered things.

We make slowly, write honestly, and share work that earns its place on the shelf — and in your week.

About

A letter from the kitchen table

Sonsanddaughtersinc began on a Sunday morning, with too much coffee and a notebook of half-finished ideas. We wanted a home for the work we couldn't file neatly into any one category — words, objects, slow correspondence, and the rituals that hold them together.

Today we are a small team of writers, makers and editors, spread across three time zones but bound by the same stubborn belief: craft still matters, attention is a gift, and ordinary things deserve extraordinary care.

Our Values

Made by hand

Every essay, object and edition is touched by a real person, not a content engine. We sign our work and stand behind it.

Slow on purpose

We choose fewer projects, deeper research, and longer deadlines. Rushed things are rarely the right things.

Honest always

We cite our sources, credit our collaborators, and tell the truth about how something was made, sourced, and priced.
